Effective May 11, 2026
Atavoice is operated by Techfalos, LLC, a Maryland limited liability company (“Techfalos,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). This Privacy Policy describes what information we collect when you use Atavoice (the “Service”), how we use it, and the choices you have.
This Policy is incorporated into our Terms of Service. If you do not agree with it, please do not use the Service.
Account information. When you create an account, we collect the email address and password you provide and, if you choose to share one, a display name. Your password is stored only as a salted hash handled by our authentication provider; we never see your password in plain text.
Practice data. When you complete a practice item, our analysis service computes numerical features from your recording — for example, the median fundamental frequency, formant means, a harmonics-to-noise ratio, and the resulting accuracy and perception scores. We store those numerical features (and metadata such as which passage you attempted and when) against your account so you can see progress over time.
Voice recordings. Recordings of your voice are processed in memory by our analysis service for the duration of a single request and are then discarded. We do not write your practice audio to disk and we do not retain it after the analysis completes. Only the numerical results described above are persisted.
Contact-form submissions. If you send us a message through our contact form, we collect the name, email address, and message you provide so we can respond to you. Contact-form messages are delivered to us by email through a transactional email provider (Resend).
Technical data. Our servers automatically receive basic technical information when you load a page or make a request — for example, your IP address, browser user-agent, and timestamps — and we may keep short-lived logs of that information for security and debugging.
We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13, and we do not sell personal information.
We use the information described above to:
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only with service providers we use to operate the Service, and only as needed for them to perform their function. The main categories are:
We may also disclose information when we believe in good faith that disclosure is required by law, necessary to enforce our Terms of Service, or necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Techfalos, our users, or others. If Techfalos is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to standard confidentiality protections.
We keep account information for as long as your account is active. Practice results are kept for as long as your account is active so you can see progress over time. Contact-form submissions are kept only as long as needed to respond to you. Short-lived technical logs are typically retained for a limited period for operational purposes.
When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize the associated personal information within a reasonable period, except where we are required to retain it to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements.
You can update your display name and password at any time from your profile page, and you can request deletion of your account by emailing us at contact@techfalos.com.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable privacy laws — for example, the right to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you, the right to object to or restrict certain processing, and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at the address above. We may need to verify your identity before responding.
We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect the information we hold — including transport-layer encryption, scoped server credentials, and hashed authentication secrets. No system is perfectly secure, however, and we cannot guarantee the security of information transmitted over the internet.
The Service is operated from the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States, you acknowledge that your information may be processed in the United States, which may have data-protection rules different from those of your country of residence.
We use a small number of strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in and to remember your interface preferences. We do not use cookies for advertising and we do not embed third-party tracking pixels on the Service.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make a material change, we will post the updated Policy on this page and update the effective date above. Your continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised Policy.
